AVG free A/V program is good. It's not the resource hog that Norton is - it pretty much stays in the background and does it's job. It's not perfect, but then again, I haven't ever seen any A/V program that is. Try it, you'll like it.
It's safe to use, It's probably my first choice for free anti-virus software. But if you're looking to buy I would reckomend Trend Micro PC Cillin Internet Security, it works perfectly for me and it has a really good internet firewall.

I am not familiar with that particular program. But I have gotten good results with free anti-virus, and other free utility programs.

I use AVG. The free download version.

I recommend AVG as an anti virus, although eTrust's 12 month free trial is excellent (I'm using it and am extremely impressed).

If you need other programs, go for Zone Alarm firewall, AVG anti spyware (formerly Ewido) and SpywareBlaster.

AVG from grisoft is free and many people like it.

Ad-aware is not an antivirus. It is anti-spyware. However it is a program you should have (or something that does the same job) anyway.

go to the link below at download.com and download morpheus. Search for whatever anti virus software you want, its probably on there. Watch out for smaller sized files or ones that seem to be too perfectly named, they may have viruses.
